We are ONE. The Revolution will include people of all colours; speakers of many languages; women, men, and children of many countries with diverse education, income, vision, clarity, and blessings.
The wickedness of "The MAN" lives in the system. We are all part of it. Let no one think they are superior to another; that stuff is for the Oscars, MTV or maybe Nobel. But rather, the Revolution comes from within. It will implement Gandhi's approach stimulated by Bob's lyrics "open your eyes and look within, are you satisfied with the life you're living?"
THE REVOLUTION percolates and erupts from within us; born from consciousness and commitment. The Revolution will not be televised because the real revolution lives in the small everyday anonymous choices: choice of purchase, choice of vote, choice of volunteer contribution to community, choice of employment, choice of smiling at the person beside you, choice of respecting ourselves, our People, our Earth.
“The Man” will try to distract us with shiny World Cups that, though very fun, unite us in collective division and breed racism and misunderstanding. All the while stealing our money to hire a militia to silence our voices and make us feel powerless over this world.
I believe that THE REVOLUTION WILL UPRAISE FROM CONSCIOUSNESS AND COMMITMENT. It will become real as we take ownership for all around us and make individual, EVERYDAY CHOICES TOWARD JUSTICE while CONTINUING TO FEED OUR FAMILIES. It will be real; not an event or special weekend.
That is why the Revolution will not be televised. The Revolution will be live.
